The Stuart’s Well Gran Fondo is the first of Alice Springs Cycling Club's three glorious Gran Fondo rides that we hold each year.  It is a favourite for both those who want to aim for a PB and those that want a social ride with majestic views and a pretty awesome BBQ at the finish.  A bus and bike trailer will take you back to Alice (spaces are limited so please book). Families and friends are very welcome as long as they book (we like to cater for everyone) and have their own transport home. At just over 90k you need a reasonable level of fitness for this event, but a bus following the last riders will pick up anyone who is struggling.  There is a social category, who will all ride together for the distance.  You can also start this ride at the prison if you want it a bit shorter (be sure to let the organisers know).  Because it is not a race, you are able to enter on an AusCycling Lifestyle membership, which gives you third party insurance cover for peace of mind. The bus will return riders to Alice Springs approximatley 2.30pm. Bikes will be transferred in the ASCC bike trailer. This registration is for all those participating in the SA/NT Track Championships plus accompanying adults, especially those who are travelling on the bus or in the car convoy. Its purpose is for safety - to ensure we have a single manifest of participants' and accompanying adults' names and emergency contacts, and any critical health or well-being issues identified. Note: Your entry to the Championships must be done through AusCycling Entry-Boss system.  Please also ensure your AusCycling licence is current and is a full racing licence.  This must be completed prior to registering here.   Riders, officials and parents travelling down by bus or in the vehicle convoy will leave Alice Springs on Wednesday 10 December, very early in the morning. Practice sessions at the Velodrome will occur on Thursday and Friday, and racing is programmed for Saturday and Sunday.  Those on the bus will leave early afternoon on Sunday and stop at Pimba roadhouse on the return journey.  Arrival in Alice Springs will be on Monday afternoon. Please come and join your fellow club members for the annual general meeting, BBQ and awards presentations at 6pm on Saturday Oct 25 at the clubrooms. REMINDER - REGISTRATIONS CLOSE MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY!!! for both riders and non-riders  Cyclists and families - come and join the King / Queen of the Hills road race (from the Velodrome to the High Point Marker) followed by a fabulous BBQ at the home of our sponsors, the Heaslip Family from Bond Springs Station.  This is the final road race event of the year.  Fabulous prizes: Trophies and jerseys for Female and Male winners $100 Cash prizes for the Alexis Rhodes Sprint (Women) and the Tony Muscat Sprint (men).  The winning Male and Female Juniors win a return airfare to participate in an Australian interstate or national level championship race (must still be at school or finished this year and be a member of the Alice Springs Cycling Club)   The Grant Heaslip Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the highest placed person who has been a member of the ASCC for at least three years Social category for non-racers. Start and finish prior to Standley Chasm carpark.   Out and back loop to (nearly) Larapinta Drive.  A Grade 4 laps (72km), B Grade 3 laps (54km), C Grade/U17 2 Laps (36km), U15 1 Lap (18km), U13 - 12 km.    All riders must have a Race All Discipline AusCycling License.  Please bring proof. Remember your helmet with Australian Standard AS/NZS 2063 sticker.  And both your bar ends plugged.  Make sure your bicycle is in good working order.  

Join Alice Springs Cycling Club members for a morning of criterium racing at the Alice Springs Club Rooms.  4.00pm sign on for 4.30pm start. Criterium or Crit racing is conducted around a short circuit for a set time (usually 20min), plus a bell lap/s that make for some exciting sprint finishes.  This is a great spectator event as you can generally see the riders for the entire race. Juniors U13 15 mins + 1 lap; C Grade 20 mins + 1 lap; A & B Grade 20 mins + I lap.
